HACCP Coordinator

Spolumbo's Fine Foods is looking for a HACCP Coordinator to join their production team. The HACCP Coordinator is responsible for implementing and maintaining the HACCP program ensuring compliance with company's objectives and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the Food Safety Enhancement Plan (FSEP) to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
  • Manage Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) program
  • Perform quality control and assurance tasks and review records
  • Employee training in food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Investigate deviations and customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Perform product and environmental testing
  • Liaison between the company and CFIA
  • Responsible for CFIA audits
  • Set standards and monitor procedures to ensure food safety at all stages of the operation
  • Work with management to determine and implement corrective actions
  • Contacting and updating the Supplier and Contractor lists
  • Responsible for employee disciplinary forms and re-training as required
  • Participates in and leads yearly employee training sessions and meetings as required
  • Assist in daily production tasks as needed by the Plant Manager
  • Assist in other needs of the production facility such as labelling, order placing, inventory management, etc.

Skills and Qualifications

· 2 – 3 years combined HACCP & Food Safety Experience

  • HACCP certification and internal auditing experience
  • QA/QC Experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to be organized, self-motivated and manage workload efficiently
  • Able to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Available Monday – Friday from 5:30am – 2:30pm
