**Position Title**: HACCP Coordinator
**Location**: Calgary, AB, T2B 3M1
**Job Type**: Full Time Permanent
**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager or designate, the HACCP Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing food safety and quality protocols in the plant. Ensuring compliance with HACCP and BRC certifications.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Managing of food safety/quality management system at Centennial Foodservice Est. 171 and C2C -Alberta Reg. # 6105 (Seafood plant).
- Managing and maintaining
- HACCP/BRC certification programs.
- Independent third parties, customers, internal audits.
- Analyzing results/trends.
- Corrective action plans for audit non-conformances.
- Food safety team.
- Being the site liaison with CFIA or other official parties, to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements - this can include daily/ weekly meetings, retrieving documentation required for CFIA CVS tasks, following up on noted deficiencies writing and correcting (CAR) corrective action requests presented by CFIA for deficiencies in program procedures, or personnel practices.
- Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with Plant Management and review any HACCP /BRC related items.
- Handling and overseeing the product recall process to ensure timely communication and execution of product recalls and completion of related documentation.
- Document, hold and disperse all products associated with lab results according to the E-coli policy and Salmonella policy.
- Additional duties as assigned.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in food safety quality production.
- Experience in Food Safety/HACCP/Food Quality.
- HACCP, QMP, Foods Safety and Quality Systems Management and Auditing
- Attending yearly HACCP Conferences, Attending CFIA industry information meetings, Courses for BRC
- Bachelor’s degree in food science or similar fields (HACCP, Food Technology, Microbiology), a combination of experience and education will also be considered.
- Ability to train employees, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Willingness to work with raw meat products and in a cold environment.
- Training will be provided.
