**Job Summary**
The position of the Product Coordinator is to coordinate the activities of the quotation and sample process for our customer’s flexible packaging needs.

**Essential Duties**
The following duties are an overview of the primary duties and responsibilities of the Product Coordinator and should not be considered an all-inclusive list:
**Quotation Process**
1. Reviews and accesses if the information provided by the customer contains the necessary information (material type, printing requirements, technical requirements and annual volume) to allow for the quoting process to take place.
2. Diligently communicates with Sales and Customer Support to get the required information necessary from the customer to allow for an accurate quote.
3. Evaluates and selects suppliers to provide quotes that are cost competitive using approved company software. When required contacts suppliers to determine machine capabilities and pricing based on technical product needs.
4. Assists in review of supplier quotations to assure accurate pricing and pricing that is comparable with similar items.
5. Escalates any significant changes in supplier pricing trends to Executive Leadership.

**Sample Process**
1. Reviews the technical aspects of the sample process to ensure the customer’s flexible packaging needs are met and a successful trial takes place.
2. Creates and coordinates the sample processing request according to plant capabilities.
3. Identifies shortfalls during trials and recommends technical changes that need to be made to meet the customer’s requirements.
4. Coordinates, documents and reports feedback of trials to Assistant Manager/Technical.
5. Collects samples from suppliers for visual inspection as well as laboratory tests performed to verify overall quality of samples.
6. Corresponds with the Sales team to understand how the sample performed and satisfaction of customer.
7. Reports metrics that analyzes the samples made that turn into orders.

**Other Job Duties**
1. Demonstrates proficiency in job duties by streamlining processes and procedures and working cooperatively with other team members.
2. Prepares, gathers information and participates in Applied Engineering Group (AEG), Product Development, and Research and Development (R&D) meetings with other team members to promote continuous improvement.
3. Relies upon specialized knowledge of film chemistry and the Company's products and services to produce results for the customer and Company.
4. Maintains records in Flair approved software with appropriate documents attached and maintains hard copies of records as appropriate.
5. Learns and understands basic film structures and packaging, and continually strives to expand knowledge of the flexible packaging industry.
6. Communicates and shares knowledge with other team members.
7. Performs other duties as may be assigned.

**Safety Responsibilities**
All Flair employees are required to be an active safety participant at Flair by:
1. Attending required safety training sessions.
2. Reporting accidents and near misses in a timely fashion.
3. Reporting any safety concerns to a designated safety team leader.
4. Taking reasonable care of their own health and safety.
5. Watching out for the safety of co-workers.
6. Following Flair’s work safety rules, policies and procedures.

**Food Safety Responsibilities**
1. Employees shall report problems with the food safety management system to the responsible person(s). Responsible personnel shall have defined responsibility and authority to initiate and record actions.
2. Employees shall understand the Food Safety Policy, GMP’s, HACCP Principle and Food Safety Standard.

**Required Training, Experience, Licenses and Certifications**
In addition to performing satisfactorily all of the duties and responsibilities of the position, an individual in this position must possess and maintain the following knowledge, skill, qualifications and/or abilities:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
2. 1-3 years of experience in the packaging industry preferred.
3. Understanding of chemistry and chemical principals preferred.
4. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the **English and Korean** language at a level adequate to perform job functions.
7. Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions promptly and accurately.
8. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals.
9. Work well in a progressive, team-oriented environment.
10. Have a positive attitude and be a self-starter.

**Working Environment/Physical Requirements**:

- The duties of this position generally involves sedentary office work.
- Some travel may be required.
- Moderate physical activity is required.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
