**B SHIFT**

With approximately 3,300 employees, JBS Food Canada ULC (“JBS Canada”) is one of Canada's largest beef processors. Consisting of four locations—the main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily; the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario. The JBS Canada facility in Brooks has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primal, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. At the multi-protein Mountain Creek Farms case-ready facility in Calgary, JBS Canada produces value-added products including marinated, portion sized, multi-pack options, kebabs and much more.

During the pandemic, we have implemented hundreds of safety measures including offering unlimited PPE, constructing permanent physical barriers, establishing physical distancing protocols, and installing hospital-grade ventilation systems in all of our facilities.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:

- The HACCP Rover will be required to perform all activities associated under the scope of the HACCP, prerequisite, SOP and sanitation programs.
- This includes the monitoring and verification of Critical Control Points.
- Direct observation of HACCP monitors; includes instruction, supervision and discipline.
- Verification of plant sanitation performance.
- Self starter and ability to work with limited direction a must.
- The HACCP Rover will be required to perform all activities associated with Certificates of Analysis. This may include, but not limited to activities such as:

- TLA’s - Sending to Lab and Material Handling and reviewing and revising TLA’s as required.
- COA’s - Perform pre-shipment review and coordinate the release or retention of loads as required basis results.
- Scheduling - Correspond with schedulers to assure switchovers, and order changes and vat removals are accounted for on TLA’s and COA’s alike.
- Data - Enter data into LIMS and generate COA’s as required.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- College or University graduate in food science or related field
- From three to five years' food production/food safety/HACCP experience, thorough knowledge of sanitation in a food production facility.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership skills and the ability to work in a team
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities
- Computer literacy, ideally with MS Office (Word and Excel)
- Excellent written & verbal command of English
- Attention to detail is critical
- Ability to work effectively in a team or independently
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Use of computers, scanners, fax machines
