Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service and a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. This role involves taking orders, serving food, handling cash transactions, and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and provide them with menus
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately using the Micros POS system
  • Prepare and serve food items while adhering to food safety standards
  • Handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in cash handling
  • Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area and kitchen
  • Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring timely service
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during peak hours
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
  • Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation regulations
  • Proficiency in using POS systems, specifically Micros POS is a plus
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures within the kitchen

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
