Overview

We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring a positive dining experience for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, food industry knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are preferred but not mandatory. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling payments, and maintaining sanitation standards to ensure guest satisfaction and safety.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, courteous service throughout their visit
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems like Micros POS
  • Serve meals, drinks, and desserts in a timely manner while maintaining presentation standards
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are adhered to during food handling and service
  • Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with sanitation guidelines
  • Manage guest inquiries or concerns professionally to promote guest satisfaction
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service flow

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
  • Strong time management skills to handle busy service periods effectively
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
  • Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards in the food industry
  • Basic math skills for cashiering and billing purposes
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Kitchen or food preparation experience is a plus but not mandatory
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in the hospitality setting
