Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Parts Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive parts, retail sales, and customer service, with the ability to manage inventory, assist customers, and ensure smooth operations. This role requires excellent organizational skills, communication abilities, and familiarity with dealership processes and inventory management systems. The Parts Specialist will play a vital role in supporting our service department and retail operations by providing expert product knowledge and exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories, providing knowledgeable advice based on their needs.
- Manage inventory levels using dealership software, POS systems to ensure accurate stock availability.
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accurate records.
- Fulfill orders promptly and accurately to meet customer expectations for both walk-in and online orders.
- Maintain organized storage of parts and supplies, ensuring easy access and proper labeling.
- Communicate effectively with customers via phone and in person, demonstrating professionalism and courtesy.
- Collaborate with the service department to identify parts requirements for repairs and maintenance jobs.
- Support marketing efforts by promoting available products and special offers to customers.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment used in parts handling.
- Assist with order fulfillment, returns, and restocking activities as needed.
Experience
- Prior Auto parts experience or familiarity with automotive repair is highly preferred.
- Experience working with POS systems, Eagle software, or other inventory management tools is advantageous.
- Proven retail sales experience with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette, negotiation abilities, and marketing knowledge.
- Competency in Microsoft Excel for tracking inventory data and sales reports.
- Good math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing stock levels.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.64-$25.09 per hour
