HR Generalist (Contract) — Greater Vancouver

Our client in Greater Vancouver is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team for a contract position.

This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in fast-paced, operational environments — someone who enjoys being on the floor with teams, partnering with plant leadership, and making a real impact on culture and people programs.

About the Role

You'll play a key role in supporting both salaried and frontline employees across multiple sites. From recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and engagement initiatives, you'll be right at the heart of the action — helping build a positive, people-focused culture that drives results.

What You'll Do

  • Act as a trusted partner to operations and plant leadership teams
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried roles in a high-volume environment
  • Support onboarding and engagement programs that create a strong sense of belonging from day one
  • Navigate employee relations matters with empathy, professionalism, and sound judgment
  • Champion workplace culture, health and safety, and recognition initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with BC and ON employment standards while keeping things people-first

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of progressive HR / People & Culture experience
  • Strong background in employee relations and recruitment
  • Solid understanding of employment legislation in BC and Ontario
  • Experience working in manufacturing, CPG, logistics, or other fast-moving operational environments
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust at every level
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Post-secondary education in HR or related field (CPHR designation is an asset)
