The People and Culture Administrator plays a key role in supporting a positive coworker experience and fostering a culture aligned with VMAC's values. This role provides administrative and operational support across all areas of People and Culture, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, training, and HR compliance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, people-focused, and passionate about creating a workplace where employees thrive.

As People and Culture Administrator you will:

Recruiting and Onboarding:

  • Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new coworkers.

Coworker Experience and Engagement:

  • Assist in organizing employee engagement initiatives, wellness programs, and recognition activities.
  • Support internal communications and culture-building efforts.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR systems.

Learning and Development:

  • Coordinate training sessions, track attendance, and manage learning resources.
  • Support the implementation of development programs and performance reviews.

HR Operations and Compliance:

  • Ensure HR documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Support benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries.

Culture and Values:

  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Promote a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.

Reception:

  • Answering and transferring calls.
  • Signing in guests.
  • Ordering office supplies.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in human resources administration.
  • Post-secondary education in human resources or related field.
  • CPHR candidacy considered an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience in HR functions such as benefits administration or payroll considered an asset.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment with the ability to quickly adapt to change.
  • Establish strong working relationships and work independently.
