PEOPLE EXPERIENCE COORDINATOR

18-Month Term Certain

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated team member who excels in customer-focused environments and brings enthusiasm to the role. You have a passion for people, and your goal is providing a full range of administrative support for the People Experience team.

The role

Reporting to the Manager of People Experience, you will perform the following duties:

  • Maintaining superior customer service skills and positive relationships in communications with employees and in resolving problems and issues
  • Providing confidential administrative services including preparation of letters, various correspondence, reports and presentations
  • Ensuring operational, regulatory and collective agreement compliance in completion of tasks
  • Assisting with recruitment, interviewing, screening and selection of applicants for employment
  • Assisting in the efficient upkeep and maintenance of departmental and employee personnel files and electronic records; system data entry required
  • Processing, verifying and registering documentation related to Human Resource Employee Relations activities such as establishment control, recruitment, training, certifications, grievances, performance evaluations and classifications
  • Coordinating the preparation, tracking and completion of the job postings and preparing related correspondence
  • Coordinating field training plans and maintaining employee training records
  • Maintaining confidential information, both electronically and manually

What you bring to the team

Education requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent training and experience
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources is an asset

Work experience requirements:

  • 1-3 years related experience in a complex unionized environment

Competency requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and customer focused skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and work well under pressure meeting established deadlines
  • Flexibility, with the ability to work well in a fast paced ever changing environment
  • Sound judgement, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • High level initiative and motivation
  • Proficient in Windows based software programs
  • Experience in the use of Oracle HR databased programs
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Thorough understanding of company policies, regulatory requirements and collective agreement

Additional information

The target salary range: $66,300 - $82,800 per annum.  The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate's knowledge, experience and internal equity. Starting salary may exceed the target range on exceptional basis.
