Nomad Electrical Services is hiring a skilled and motivated Journeyman or Journeywoman Electrician to join our Calgary-based team We're a close-knit, supportive team who takes pride in our work and delivers high quality electrical solutions. Skills and Qualifications We're Looking For:

  • Based in Calgary with reliable transportation
  • Journeyman/woman certification and proof of completed apprenticeship
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with solid knowledge of current codes
  • Valid Alberta driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including extended periods standing and working at heights
  • Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Experience with tools, materials, and electrical testing equipment
  • Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Team player who communicates professionally with management, coworkers, suppliers, and customers
  • Familiarity with software such as Jobber (or willingness to learn)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical jobs, including supervising apprentices or junior staff and reviewing their work
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, control systems, and lighting
  • Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
  • Follow Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and all relevant provincial and local regulations
  • Perform general electrical maintenance and other duties as required
  • Demonstrate knowledge of heating, air conditioning systems, and relevant test equipment

Requirements:

  • Completion of electrician apprenticeship program and certification
  • Proven experience as an electrician, including diagnosing and fixing problems with electronic test equipment
  • Full set of personal electrician tools, including drill and impact driver
  • Commitment to high-quality work and continuous learning
