Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sheet Metal Journeyman/Journeywoman to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC across commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure the efficient operation of HVAC systems, ductwork, and other mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, modify, and repair sheet metal components for HVAC systems, refrigeration units.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation and repair tasks.
  • Assist in designing HVAC layouts and selecting appropriate materials based on project specifications.
  • Conduct field service work including troubleshooting equipment issues using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance on boilers, air conditioning units, and other mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with other trades such as electricians and plumbers to coordinate complex system installations.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system diagnostics for future reference.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a sheet metal journeyman/journeywoman or similar role within construction or service technician environments.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC/R systems, appliance repair.
  • Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, equipment functions and refrigeration technology.
  • Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform equipment repair with welding skills when necessary.
  • Field service experience involving air conditioning units, mechanical repairs, or appliance servicing is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license is a plus.
  • Knowledge of safety standards related to HVAC/R work environments including proper handling of refrigerants..
