We are seeking a dedicated and talented Sous Chef with strong baking and pastry experience to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing daily kitchen operations, uphold exceptional food quality standards, and contribute creatively to our menu offerings. This role requires a combination of leadership, technical skill, and a genuine passion for both savory and sweet creations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and support day-to-day kitchen operations, including inventory management, food ordering, and prep schedules.
- Lead by example to ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Prepare and bake breads, pastries, and desserts, incorporating both traditional and innovative techniques.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and team to develop seasonal menus and daily specials.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve kitchen issues promptly to maintain smooth service flow.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant, bakery, or hospitality setting.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience managing kitchen teams.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, including bread, pastry, and dessert preparation.
- Solid background in culinary fundamentals, cooking methods, and kitchen management.
- Familiarity with food handling, inventory control, and health & safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
