About the Role
Luxel Decor is seeking a hands-on, detail-driven Operations Manager who can lead with confidence, adapt quickly, and ensure flawless event execution. This role oversees warehouse operations, event logistics, procurement, and team management, while also stepping in to complete smaller event setups independently when needed. You must be comfortable managing diverse personalities, working under pressure, and maintaining exceptional client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse, Inventory and Space Management
- Manage and supervise the warehouse team, ensuring efficiency, accountability and strong workflow.
- Maintain inventory accuracy, organize warehouse space and ensure all décor items are event-ready.
- Sell, repurpose or dispose of older décor items to optimize space and maintain quality standards.
- Oversee packing, quality checks, loading and returns.
Event Coordination and Execution
- Plan and manage all event logistics including scheduling, staffing, transportation and timelines.
- Lead on-site teams during setups and teardowns while ensuring precision, safety and professionalism.
- Personally complete smaller event setups when required, ensuring consistency with Luxel Decor standards.
- Handle last-minute changes, tight timelines and operational challenges with composure.
- Maintain exceptional client satisfaction by ensuring every detail is executed accurately.
Procurement and Purchasing
- Purchase materials, décor items, tools and consumables needed for events in a cost-effective way.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure all items arrive on time.
Team Leadership and Communication
- Manage and motivate a diverse team while navigating different personalities with professionalism and fairness.
- Maintain strong communication across design, admin and production teams for smooth coordination.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and minimize errors.
- Ensure staff are trained, productive and aligned with company standards.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in operations, logistics related to event production.
- Experience managing teams and resolving conflicts effectively.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and multitasking abilities.
- Willingness to work long hours, weekends and event-driven schedules.
- Ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs and perform hands-on event setup.
- Valid driver's license.
