Automotive Service Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will perform a wide range of vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks, ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret schematics. Experience in dealership settings and welding is a plus. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed
- Conduct complex repairs including engine overhauls, transmission work, and suspension repairs
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to accurately execute repair procedures
- Assist in assembly of vehicle parts and components during repair or installation processes
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance needs clearly to clients
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Experience
- Prior dealership experience is highly preferred
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair
- Familiarity with welding, schematics, and assembly processes is advantageous
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and performing maintenance tasks on various vehicle systems
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or parts replacement
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills
- Customer service experience is beneficial for effective communication with clients
- Preference to applicants SGI Safety certified, but not required

Pay: $20.67-$42.54 per hour
