The Accounts Receivable Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the company's accounts receivable processes. This includes invoicing, payment collections, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, preferably with experience in the logistics or freight forwarding industry, and will ensure timely payments and accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and issue invoices to clients in a timely manner.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Process payments and apply them to appropriate accounts.
- Prepare regular reports on receivables and account status.
- Collaborate with internal departments to address billing issues or customer inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with month-end closing.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance (experience in logistics or freight forwarding is an asset).
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with different departments.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
