Xradar provides services to the construction industry. Our services include Concrete Scanning, Cutting & Coring as well as a variety of non-destructive testing & advanced reporting. Our clients typically include General Building Contractors, Mechanical & Electrical Contractors as well as other trades aligned to the construction industry.
As Xradar's Sales and Business Development Associate, you'll play a vital role in expanding our Eastern Canada operations. You'll be supported and encouraged to grow with every opportunity, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-growing, Canada-wide company. This role offers an excellent chance to develop and refine your sales and business development skills while working alongside a supportive team. You'll also be mentored by a highly experienced senior sales professional with over 11 years in the industry
You will make an impact on our organization by building & maintaining customer relationships, providing superior customer service, closing deals, and networking to build a strong pipeline of future customers. You'll use your experience and knowledge to strategically and consultatively help our clients with custom plans that meet their needs. This role really is the foundation of our wider Customer Service team.
As our Business Development Associate, your weekly responsibilities include:
- Build & maintain customer relationships (General Building Contractors, Structural Engineers, Building Owners, Mechanical Contractors, Electrical Contractors & other trades. You can do this by calling, holding meetings & presentations.
- You will visit the offices of clients & construction sites building up relationships with Estimators, Project Coordinators, Project Managers as well as Site Superintendents.
- Leverage & network your relationships into a strong pipeline of future customers building more purposeful interactions with potential clients.
- Conduct follow-up calls with clients upon the completion of projects.
- Attend industry events & represent our brand.
- Provide superior customer service to our clients.
- Advise clients of "ballpark pricing" for some quick price requests.
- Consistent data entry into our CRM system, & periodic evaluation of our processes & procedures.
- Identify client pain-points & consultatively advise clients on the best services to fit their needs.
- Visit site walkthroughs & report back to our estimator with some details so we can price.

We're looking for candidates who are hungry, humble, and smart; naturally personable; good listener; able to build trust; and genuinely enjoy working with people. You should carry yourself well, be sociable without being overbearing, and have the ability to read a room and adapt to different situations.
- Tangible impacts you have had in your past roles.
- Record of achievement with sales goals and building a pipeline - an asset.
- Experience in Construction is a bonus.
- Experience with Ground Penetrating Radar or NDT is a BIG plus.
- Experience estimating, quoting, and submitting formal proposals.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, G-Suite, CRM & Analytics.
