Role overview
We are looking for a driven Sales & Business Development Associate to help grow our SAP-focused solutions business in North America. The role is ideal for a motivated early-career salesperson who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, and representing a technology brand with customers and partners.
Candidates must be based in the Greater Toronto Area and available to work on-site in Mississauga when not travelling, with legal eligibility to work in Canada and travel to the United States.
Key responsibilities
- Generate and qualify leads through outbound outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn, events) and convert them into sales opportunities for senior sales leadership.
- Build and manage a personal pipeline of prospects in the SAP customer and partner ecosystem, including following up on marketing-generated leads.
- Represent the company at SAP-related conferences, trade shows, and industry events across North America, including booth setup, attendee engagement, and post-event follow-up.
- Conduct introductory discovery conversations to understand customer needs at a high level and position the company's SAP-focused offerings.
- Collaborate with internal technical and marketing teams to prepare presentations, introductory demos, and proposal support materials.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of activities, contacts, and opportunities in CRM and report regularly on pipeline and activity metrics.
- Support day-to-day office and marketing operations when working on-site in Mississauga (coordination of campaigns, content collection, basic research).
Required skills & attributes
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written) suitable for executive and technical audiences in North America.
- Confident, outgoing, and comfortable initiating conversations with senior stakeholders at events, online, and over the phone.
- Demonstrated success or measurable results in sales, business development, fundraising, campus leadership, or similar high-initiative roles.
- Strong interest in enterprise technology; familiarity with SAP customers, partners, or ERP concepts is a strong asset.
- Highly organized and disciplined in managing outreach cadence, follow-ups, and travel schedules.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently within North America for events, meetings, and partner visits.
- Must be based in the Greater Toronto Area and available for on-site work in Mississauga when not travelling.
- Legally able to work in Canada and travel to the United States (e.g., Canadian passport or valid U.S. visa).
Nice-to-have experience
- Exposure to SAP projects, SAP consulting, or software sales (internships, co-op, or 1–3 years' experience).
- Experience using CRM and sales automation tools for tracking outreach and pipeline.
- Prior involvement in tech events, student clubs, or roles that required proactive networking and target achievement.
