Good Behaviour was founded by Chef Michael Lam and Eric Chow, who bring over 30 years of global hospitality experience from Toronto, New York, and Sydney. We specialize in crafting innovative ice cream flavours, using natural ingredients and modern culinary techniques to create some of the most exciting frozen treats in the city. Role Overview
We are looking to invest our time with a Pastry Cook through the winter period, to help with our expansion throughout the summer. We're looking for someone to join our team and contribute to our ice cream production. You will be responsible for preparing ice cream bases, baking inclusions, and ensuring top-tier product quality. In addition, you will learn how to make both savoury and sweet pies from scratch along with other pastry and dessert items. The role requires working efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen while maintaining cleanliness, organization, and a positive team environment
Key Responsibilities
- Cook, pasteurize, and churn both classic and modern ice cream flavours (100+ flavours)
- Bake mix-ins such as pie crusts, pastry creams, and compotes to be layered into ice cream.
- Follow precise recipes to create crème anglaise custard-based ice cream with consistent quality
- Properly incorporate inclusions to maintain texture and flavour integrity
- Work with urgency while maintaining prep lists and systems
- Uphold high standards for sanitation, hygiene, and workplace organization
- Foster a collaborative, positive kitchen environment
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in a professional kitchen
- Strong understanding of pastry preparation techniques and culinary fundamentals
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and efficiency
- Ability to work as part of a team
