The Baker One is in charge of preparing baked goods for sale to customers. Their duties include executing recipes and prep tasks, organizing ingredients and coordinating baking tasks to produce breads, cakes, pastries, pies, cookies and other goods.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepares, produces, and bakes breakfast pastries, breads, rolls, and some desserts.
- Prepares doughs, batters, toppings and other pastry prep items.
- Scoops large batches of cookies and muffins, as well as cuts large batches of scones, brownies, and other bars as needed.
- Decorates baked goods, such as cakes, cupcakes and cream pies, using a pastry bag.
- Sets time and speed controls for mixing machines, or blending machines, so that ingredients will be mixed or cooked according to instructions.
- Measures or weigh flour or other ingredients to prepare batters, doughs, fillings, or whipped cream, using scales or graduated containers.
- Assists in product packaging and labeling as per company standards
- Cleans and organizes the pastry preparation area. Including, but not limited to, benches, floors, storage racks, garbage and washrooms.
- Cleans, organizes, and puts away all baking equipment including: ovens, mixers, proofer, floors, freezer, and refrigerators.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs, and walk, crouch, reach, bend, and pull with ease
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Food Handlers certification
- Must be able to work various shifts including weekends, holidays, and special events held on-site or off-site.
- Must be able to start work at 6am

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week

Additional pay:

- Toronto, ON M6H 1V5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
