Owned by New Zealand dairy farmers and supported by a dedicated team, we are all working together to create a better future. Imagine tomorrow with us, where your career can grow, and you can create positive change.

Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity

As our trusted People & Culture Business Partner for broad and complex portfolios—covering Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory - you will deliver our Fonterra people strategy and ensure people processes, programmes, and systems are aligned to our business strategy, while leading programmes of work to drive performance through people.

You will:

  • Partner with Business Leaders and COEs: Collaborate with senior leaders, Centers of Excellence (e.g., Talent, Learning, Diversity & Inclusion, Reward, Workforce Analytics), and People Solutions teams to co-design and deliver integrated people strategies that drive business performance and transformation.
  • Strategic Influence: Work with a range of key internal stakeholders to design, deploy, and deliver people strategies that support Fonterra's long-term ambitions.
  • Change Leadership: Lead and support change interventions, organization design, and process improvements that position the business for future success.
  • Champion Data-Driven Insights: Leverage workforce analytics and data to provide actionable insights, inform decision-making, and measure the impact of people initiatives.
Foster a High-Performance Culture: Shape and embed a culture of engagement, inclusion, and continuous improvement, aligned to Fonterra's values.

Key Areas of Focus

  • Reporting to the GM, People & Culture GSC, GQSR & GHSW, your key areas of focus will include:
  • Fostering positive organisational culture through the implementation of initiatives.
  • Partnering on change interventions, facilitating organisation design and process outcomes that ensure functions are well positioned to deliver against strategic priorities.
  • Contributing to the design of the core P&C value drivers that support business strategy outcomes.
  • Acting as an advocate for the use of Āwhina and championing the role of the People Solutions teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference, working alongside senior stakeholders and furthering your HR career.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about partnering with leaders to drive change. You will be a natural communicator and be able to build relationships and influence across a range of stakeholders. Your strategic mindset and previous experience building trusted partnering relationships will enable you to develop high performing and collaborative business relationships.

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Previous experience with supply chain, food safety or regulatory would be highly advantageous
  • Ideally demonstrable experience across change processes and culture driven initiatives
  • Confidence in consolidating HR strategic disciplines such as workforce planning, building capability and high-performance teams and cultures into integrated programs of work that meet business needs
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
  • An ability to use data to create business insights and actions
