Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with/managing the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring efficient administrative processes, and providing support in various accounting functions. This position requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping practices. We are also looking for some assistance with our safety program, so experience in this field is also highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Help manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
  • Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Safety / safety program experience is an asset.
  • Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Utilize accounting software (Sage) for bookkeeping tasks.
  • Conduct account analysis and budgeting to support financial planning activities.
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes.
  • Provide administrative support to other departments as needed, including scheduling meetings and managing office supplies.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve office efficiency and streamline processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Office Administrator or in a similar administrative role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Sage, Microsoft Office, Excel is highly desirable.
  • Safety program building/management is also an asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
