We work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive and compassionate care in a supportive and respectful environment.OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and organized Patient Escort / Clinic Support Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that patients are safely and comfortably transported throughout the facility while supporting smooth daily operations. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical or dental office setting and familiarity with basic clinical workflows.This is not a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) role — no medical or billing background is required. Training will be provided.Key Responsibilities

  • Escort and transport patients safely to and from exam rooms and other clinic areas

  • Assist patients physically as needed, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity

  • Prepare and clean rooms between patients following infection control and safety protocols

  • Disinfect transport equipment and maintain clinic cleanliness

  • Weigh patients and maintain accurate documentation when requested

  • Maintain accurate records of patient movements and any special needs or requests

  • Support the efficiency of clinic operations by preparing and restocking rooms and organizing supplies

  • Collaborate with nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate efficient patient care

  • Answer patient questions courteously about their appointments or procedures

  • Operate multi-line phone systems for communication within the facility

  • Manage waiting room organization and ensure patient comfort

  • Provide support during busy periods such as immunization days or chronic disease clinics

  • Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all privacy and safety standards

  • Report unsafe conditions, accidents, or equipment issues promptly

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Previous experience in a medical or dental office is preferred

  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff

  • Strong administrative and communication skills, including use of phone and communication systems

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with empathy and professionalism

  • Ability to multitask, remain calm, and prioritize in a busy clinical setting

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities

  • Physically able to stand for extended periods and assist patients as needed

  • Customer service experience (retail, hospitality, or healthcare) is an asset

Schedule and Compensation

  • Weekday shifts between 8:15 AM and 5:00 PM (flexible scheduling)

  • Hourly wage: $17.85 per hour to start

  • Benefits available after 3 months of employment

  • On-site training and mentorship provided
