Duties:

  • Greet and check-in clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
  • Assist with filling out necessary paperwork and updating client information
  • Collect payments for services rendered
  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgeries
  • Responsible for all duties related to the care of animals
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic
  • Communicate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient patient care
  • Provide basic information to clients regarding clinic policies, procedures, and services

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, specifically a veterinary clinic is preferred
  • Loves animals and is not allergic
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of veterinary software systems like Avimark
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with empathy and professionalism

As a Veterinary Assistant/ Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our clients while supporting the overall operations of the veterinary clinic. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as excellent computer skills.
