Salary Range: $57,000 – $73,000 per year

The company is seeking a Project Administrator/Coordinator to join our team in Port Coquitlam, BC. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in the mechanical and industrial sectors, as well as in construction environments and unionized workplaces. You will play a key role in supporting project operations, finance tasks, and estimating activities while embodying our values: Our People, Our Promise, Our Passion.

Key Responsibilities: You will report to the General Manager of Pulp & Paper and be accountable for:

  • Set up and organize project administration in the InEight system
  • Support time entry, payroll processes, and cost management for projects
  • Assist with vendor purchasing, receiving, billing, and accounts receivable
  • Ensure compliance with the company's project controls procedures and customer contractual, financial, and reporting requirements

Qualifications

  • Completion of a 2–3-year college program in business administration OR minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in accounting or construction project administration
  • Mandatory experience with ERP systems (Business Central preferred)
  • Strong background in mechanical/industrial industries, construction, and unionized environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); advanced Excel skills are an asset
  • Ability to interpret and apply collective agreements; prior union time-entry experience is an asset
  • Project management experience is considered an advantage

Working Conditions

  • Office-based role with deadlines and occasional high-pressure situations (e.g., collections, investigations)
  • Flexibility to work outside normal hours when required
  • Willingness to travel 1–4 months per year to project sites
