Our team produces world-class prefabricated electrical enclosures serving industries such as mining, oil and gas, utilities, and heavy industry.

We are currently seeking an Apprentice Welder/Fabricator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal enclosures and equipment packaging solutions for a variety of industrial applications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to fabricate metal enclosures and equipment packaging solutions.
  • Operate and maintain various welding equipment, plasma cutters, and grinders.
  • Work with a range of metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel (primarily carbon steel).
  • Measure, cut, and fit metal using saws, shears, and other fabrication tools.
  • Use hand and power tools to shape, form, and finish metal components as required.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, client specifications, and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Metal Fabrication Apprentice or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools for cutting, shaping, and forming metal.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or completion of metalworking or welding courses is an asset.
  • Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
  • Forklift experience is an asset (training and certification can be provided on site).

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
