Overview

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication processes, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various tools and equipment used in the fabrication of metal components.

Duties

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
  • Utilize plasma cutting and press brake machines for precise metal shaping and fabrication.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
  • Assemble components according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality in the final product.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
  • Conduct rigging operations as needed for lifting heavy materials using cranes or forklifts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve fabrication processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in welding, fabrication, or a related field within manufacturing or construction environments.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various tools including calipers and hand tools effectively.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material requirements.
  • Experience with assembly processes and understanding of manufacturing workflows is advantageous.
  • Certification in welding processes (MIG/TIG) is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work products.
