Position Summary:

The Assistant Warehouse Manager plays a key role in supporting daily operations of the warehouse, and maintaining strong relationships. This position works directly with the Warehouse Manager to support daily operations and efficient flow of goods in and out of the facility. This role is responsible for overseeing shipping and receiving activities with accuracy by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintaining precise inventory control. The Assistant Warehouse Manager assists with order processing, logistics scheduling, and ensuring timely deliveries for local and out of town customers. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will help lead and motivate warehouse staff to achieve operational goals, maintain a safe and organized work environment, and uphold high standards of customer service. This position involves assisting customers with order pickups while ensuring a positive and professional experience. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to inventory accuracy are essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Warehouse Manager

  • Assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, including but not limited to, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, investigating shorts, scheduling logistics, customer deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Act as the point of contact in the Warehouse Manager's absence.
  • Help manage staffing, scheduling, and workflow coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with work safe regulations and adhere to strict safety standards (WHIMS & TDG).
  • Collaborate with office staff to ensure effective integration with warehouse and administrative tasks.
  • Preparing and organizing warehouse inventory for physical counts and processing.

Support Existing Clients

  • Provide exceptional service to current customers and vendors and resolve any shipping or receiving issues efficiently.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Warehouse Support

  • Lead the warehouse staff to ensure inventory accuracy and timely order processing.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with restocking as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures in the warehouse.
  • Pull, pack, and ship orders for out of town and local customers when necessary.
  • Receive and sort goods, assist with branch transfers when required.
  • Ability to problem solve effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a warehouse environment, with 2 years in a management or senior level leadership role.
  • Familiarity with inventory control systems.

· Ability to lift and move 60lbs regularly and unassisted.

  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently with minimal supervision.
  • Forklift operator experience and dangerous goods knowledge are considered assets in this role
  • Experience and knowledge of the pool and spa industry is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred
