Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic distribution team. This role involves supporting daily warehouse operations, including order picking, inventory management, and equipment handling. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and experience with warehouse management systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in warehouse logistics and equipment operation within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with warehouse distribution tasks, including receiving, storing, and shipping inventory
- Operate equipment such as clamp trucks, forklifts, and order pickers safely and efficiently
- Perform order picking accurately using warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders
- Conduct heavy lifting of goods and materials while adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain organized storage areas and ensure inventory accuracy through regular stock checks
- Support the setup and breakdown of warehouse layouts as needed
- Utilize basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during inventory processes
- Follow safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Prior experience with warehouse distribution, order picking, and equipment operation preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with forklift, clamp truck, and other material handling equipment is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and stand for extended periods
- Basic math skills for inventory counts and measurements
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and follow safety guidelines
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks in a fast-paced setting
