The Role
As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth by developing and managing your portfolio of enterprise customers. This is an account-based, self-developing sales position; no accounts will be initially provided. Success in this role requires a proactive, driven individual with a proven ability to cultivate relationships and close deals.
Sales Channel Opportunities
We are seeking roles for those with experience in one or more of the following disciplines:
- Consumer Data Networking: North American Retail and E-Commerce
- Enterprise/SME/SMB Data Networking: North American VAR/Resellers
- Distribution Data Networking: North American Distribution Channels
- Carrier/Service Provider: North American Mobile and Broadband Services
Key Responsibilities
- Develop & Expand Client Relationships: Identify and build working relationships with enterprise customers, focusing on D-Link's networking hardware solution and services, particularly on medium to mid-market enterprise accounts, building relationships up to the executive level.
- Sales Planning & Execution: Leverage your enterprise networking knowledge to craft customized solutions that address client needs and drive business outcomes. Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the market.
- Lead the Full Sales Cycle: From prospecting and initial outreach to negotiation and closing, you'll own the sales process and consistently deliver results. Provide timely and accurate revenue forecasts for all opportunities. Maintain an accurate and measurable pipeline with a background of regularly overachieving sales targets.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with technical support, product management, marketing, and logistics to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
- Achieve Sales Targets: Demonstrate a hunter mentality, consistently overachieving sales targets. Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals through effective planning, pipeline management, and relationship-building. Act as the primary driver of end-user and channel sales through distribution and reseller partners.
Compensation
We offer a competitive compensation package aligned with market conditions and your proven success in sales. The compensation structure for Sales Account Managers includes:
- Salary Offer: For this Full-Time In-Office employment, located in Mississauga, ON, with a range of up to CAD $130K Annual Compensation. Range is determined by recent experience, depth of sales-skills, and references.
- Base Salary & Variable Compensation: On average, a 70-30 split between base salary and commission is designed to reward performance and incentivize success.
- No Quota Relief from Day 0: This role is for self-starters who thrive in a performance-driven environment. You will be expected to hit the ground running, leveraging your skills and relationships to build your account base.

Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in account-based sales
, specifically in enterprise networking hardware, wireless, cellular/4G/5G, Mobile and M2M sales experience is preferred. Familiarity with D-Link products or direct competitors (e.g., Cisco, NETGEAR, Ubiquiti, etc.) is required. - Proven Success:
Demonstrated ability to self-develop a portfolio of clients and achieve or exceed sales targets without an assigned account base. VAR and/or end user sales preferred. - Skills:
Strong negotiation, oral and written communication, and presentation skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. French and/or Mandarin is not required but an advantage. Must be able to demonstrate professional presentation skills on complex topics. - Networking Expertise:
Deep understanding of enterprise networking solutions, passionate about delivering tailored connectivity solutions to clients. - Education:
A bachelor's degree in business, Communications, IT, or a related field is preferred. - Location:
Must be able to work in the Mississauga office and travel as needed. - Bilingual (English/French)
