Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Proactively source new business opportunities to maximize hotel revenue.
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales aligned with property goals.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with corporate, group, and leisure accounts.

Event Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute meetings, conferences, and social events.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring seamless communication and delivery.
  • Oversee event logistics including room setup, catering, AV requirements, and billing.

Revenue & Reporting

  • Collaborate with the General Manager & Director of Sales on sales strategies.
  • Track performance against sales targets and provide regular reporting.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with operations, front desk, and F&B teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Support staff with event execution and uphold Hyatt service standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in hotel sales, catering, or event management (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with hotel sales systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Calgary corporate and airport market segments is an asset.
