**Job description**

**JOB SUMMARY**

The **Events Sales Manager**is responsible for booking all large parties and special events. They are the point of contact for potential clients and are responsible for working with the General Manager and Executive Chef to ensure the execution of events and functions from start to finish. They are also responsible for assisting with the training of staff for events, have office duties and assist with cash procedures as necessary.

**TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- The main contact point between Rendesvouz and any group bookings and event bookings
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist with promoting the restaurant
- Relationship management and ongoing professional communication
- Coordinate with the general manager and chef regarding floor plans, staff allocations, menu development, etc
- Manage set-up, organization, and supervision of all events and bookings as required
- Attend events, as needed, to ensure successful execution
- Responsible for clear communication and execution of requirements
- Ensure every aspect of event experience is outstanding
- Follow up with customers post-event
- Manage online reviews
- Perform any other duties assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum 1 year experience with planning and executing small to large-scale events
- Positive attitude
- On the spot decision making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and attention to detail
- Well-organized with multi-tasking skills
- Knowledge of wine/beverages and food/food preparation considered an asset
