Overview
Our client is seeking a Shipping & Inventory Coordinator for 8 months contract role.
Responsibilities:
- • Accurately pick, pack and ship all orders within 24-48 hours of receipt or within established service level time frames demonstrating strong attention to detail
- Physically fit - able to consistently lift boxes weighing 35lbs and able to be on feet lifting, bending reaching, following OHS safety guidelines and procedures
- Safely operate a Reach Truck and other material handling equipment in a controlled Warehouse environment, using PPE
- Ability to work independently as well as a strong team player
- Customer service focused
- Able to problem solve and use sound judgement
- Ability to use strong verbal and written communication skills when communicating with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to multi-task; and adapt to changing workloads and priorities
- Strong computer skills and ability to locate information in databases
- Maintain and update 'Shipping Manager' database and MOVES daily for details about every shipment, strong attention to detail is required. (accurately recording way bill numbers, number of parcels, date shipped, serialized ranges and special instructions for every order)
- Coordinate bulk distribution of orders as required
- Receive stock, verify quantities received and provide packing slip and copies of the materials to the Client Relations and Operations Officer for receiving within 24 hours of receipt of product being delivered
- Inventory management and warehouse organization
- Participate in the Warehouse OHS Joint Health and Safety Committee, and conduct warehouse safety inspections
Qualifications - Must Have:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Must wear steel toed shoes/boots at all times in the warehouse and on their first day of work.
- A MVID number will be required to gain access to MOVES will need to be provided on first day of work.
- 1 year - Specifically looking for Reach Truck experience - Counter balance forklift experience will not be considered.
- 1 year - Shipping & Inventory Control in a warehouse setting including cyclic inventory count experience, and inventory reconciliation in a computer system
