We are an asset-based refrigerated trucking and warehousing company located in Surrey, BC. We operate our own fleet and offer cross-border transportation, warehousing, destuffing, and palletization services.
We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to help manage daily freight operations, secure freight for available equipment, manage customer communication, and support dispatch with scheduling and load planning.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and can balance customer service with operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Book freight for our in-house fleet (reefer + dry van)
- Book trucks when extra capacity is required
- Respond to customer emails professionally and promptly
- Track and trace shipments; provide timely updates to customers
- Monitor load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.) and negotiate rates
- Send and receive rate confirmations, PODs, BOLs, and other documents
- Assist dispatch with scheduling and load planning
- Maintain accurate records in the TMS and ensure details are updated
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in trucking, dispatch, freight brokerage, or logistics coordination
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to book loads, negotiate rates, and handle customer communication
- Experience using load boards (DAT, Truckstop) preferred
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of cross-border and reefer freight is an asset
