At Ready, Set, Move, we believe that movement is the foundation for confidence, connection, and lifelong health. Our programs provide a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where children can explore and develop their fine and gross motor skills while building the teamwork, confidence, and joy that comes from moving and learning together.
We focus on helping children master the basic movement skills - transport skills, manipulative skills, and coordination skills - which are essential for developing physical literacy and a lifelong love of being active.

About the Role
We're looking for a Staff Lead who is passionate about child development, community engagement, and creating exceptional experiences for families. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys balancing both leadership and active participation.
Working with the Manager, The Staff Lead will assist in the daily operations of Ready, Set, Move, while also being an active member of the customer service and Coaching teams. You'll help ensure programs run smoothly, staff feel supported, and families feel welcomed and cared for.
Responsibilities
- Assist daily operations to ensure smooth program delivery
- Provide guidance and support to the customer service and instructor teams
- Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for all participants and staff
- Maintain highest cleanliness standards in line with Manitoba Health Code guidelines
- Deliver engaging movement classes and assist with programming as needed
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and care
- Support with staff training and team communication
- Monitor and maintain facility standards, safety protocols, and program quality
- Must be available to work Monday, January 5, Monday January 12, 2026
Qualifications
- Experience in a supervisory role an asset
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to balance administrative duties with hands-on teaching and service
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to motivate
- Background in physical literacy, recreation, or child-focused programming is an asset
- Positive attitude, problem-solving mindset, and a love of working with children and families
- Standard First Aid with CPRC required
- Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Record Checks required
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
