Grading Operations Supervisor

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a supervisor in a food manufacturing environment.
Experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in the agri-food sector, or another sector with high volume and rapidity of production.
Strong track record at overseeing the day-to-day operations in the shipping and receiving department. Ensuring the work is covered and keep staffing at the correct level to ensure proper costing.
Familiar with Food Safety policies by following GMP and Food Safety procedures.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and CMMS software.
High analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organization and time management.
Excellent in interpersonal relations and conflict management.
Strong track record at training and supervising new/existing staff.
Strong track record at working independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced and sustained environment.
Ability to play a key role in change management.

Grading Operations Supervisor - Permanent, FT, Day
Reporting to the Grading Plant Manager, the incumbent is responsible for running the SAP system and managing shipping orders. Your main objective is to oversee the egg movement from grading to processing to ensure efficient movement of eggs and communicate with order desk and distribution, track the flow of off-site eggs by batch & quantity and document accordingly. You will also Provide processing access or reports on what current breaking stock is still to be moved or just in stock that needs to be addressed daily.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Abides to the companies Food Safety policies by following GMP and Food Safety procedures.
· Abides to the companies Health and Safety policies.
· Actively lead, coach, guide teams along with lead hands to achieve production targets and key performance indicators.
- Proactive performance manages employees to ensure accountability of high standards for safety, quality, attendance and wellbeing of production employees.
· Staff shipping and receiving department to make sure the work is covered and keep staffing at the correct level to ensure proper costing.
· Oversee the day-to-day operations in the shipping and receiving department and help with the grading department as required.
· Conduct toolbox meetings with shipping and receiving crew to keep them updated on plant KPIs, shipping and receiving requirements, corrective actions and other daily issues.
· Deal with all sick/vacation requests and input hours into the payroll system weekly.
· Inform Plant Manager when equipment breaks down.
· Provide Processing access or reports on what current breaking stock is still to be moved or just in stock that needs to be addressed daily.
· Assist with all Period end counting.
· Cover other Production Supervisor vacations as needed.

· Be knowledgeable, follow and assist with Health and Safety and Food Safety programs.
· Work as a team player to promote efficient operation. Help others when they are in a difficult situation.
· Work in a safe and responsible manner and lead by example.
· Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
· Perform other duties when assigned by Plant Manager.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCES:
