Position Summary:
The Construction Site Crew Foreman, working closely with the Site Superintendent and Construction Manager, monitors and directs site activities from the start of the job until its completion.
Primary Responsibilities:
Meet daily with the crew on site to discuss expectations for the day
- Plan, assign, schedule, and supervise the work of all crew on site
- Communicate project expectations on an ongoing basis
- Oversee the performance of workers, ensuring a safe environment, quality control, optimize schedules to meet project milestone dates
- Read and interpret: plans, structural drawings, rough sketches, site instructions
- Keep construction site documentation organized
- Promote and monitor occupational health and safety culture within the organization, ensuring site meets all safety standards.
- Attend regular meetings with the project manager to discuss schedules
- Provide assistance to onsite crews
- In addition to the accountabilities listed above, individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload.
Position Qualifications:
- 7+ years of manufacturing experience
5+ years of manufacturing or construction supervision experience
Understanding of WSIB, and relevant construction safety standards.
OSHA certification, preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to spend up to 10 hours walking and standing
