The role:
This role plays a key part in driving the global expansion of Decibel's cannabis portfolio. This position is responsible for leading product development, sales and operations planning, and process optimization initiatives across multiple international markets. The ideal candidate brings deep cannabis industry experience and a woven ability to translate strategic goals into commercial execution-ensuring Decibel's products reach patients and partners with consistency, quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities:
· Lead the international product development lifecycle for cannabis products, from concept to commercialization, ensuring all offerings align with regional market demands and regulatory frameworks.
· Collaborate closely with R&D, QA, regulatory and operations teams to define product specifications, packaging formats, and labeling requirements tailored to each market.
· Translate Canadian market leanings into international product innovation, leveraging consumer insights and competitive analysis to optimize portfolio performance.
· Maintain a deep understanding of global cannabis regulations, including import/export compliance and stability requirements to support seamless market entry.
· Partner with cultivation, processing and commercial teams to align production forecasts with international demand and sales commitments.
· Develop and manage data-driven forecasting, allocation, and inventory strategies to balance throughput and service levels across multiple markets.
· Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity through proactive scenario planning and coordination with logistics, QA, and finance teams.
· Lead continuous improvement initiatives across international order management, logistics, and documentation workflows to enhance efficiency and transparency.
· Design scalable commercial and operational processes that improve speed to market, product traceability, and alignment between internal teams and external partners.
· Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to automate or digitize workflows, improving compliance and execution across all stages of the commercial process.
· Implement governance and reporting frameworks to measure performance, reduce redundancy, and ensure alignment between Canadian operations and international markets.
Key competencies:
· Deep understanding of the cannabis industry, including product development, post-harvest processing, regulatory environments, and global commercial trends.
· Proven experience leading commercial or operational initiatives with a licensed cannabis producer or other regulated industry.
· Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with the ability to translate data and market insight into actionable business plans.
· Exceptional communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills across multiple geographies and timezones.
· Adaptable, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for driving operational excellence and market growth in a rapidly evolving industry.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word) and Adobe PDF.
· Willingness to take initiative.
Qualifications:
· Diploma or a higher level of education in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field.
· years' experience in a relevant field.
· Familiarity with international shipping regulations, GMP/GACP compliance, and controlled substances documentation is preferred.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document tracking tools; experience is considered an asset.
