Job Title – Director of Product Management

Reports to – EVP, Product Strategy
Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of Product Management to lead and scale the impact of our product management function. In this pivotal role, you will guide a high-performing team responsible for shaping product strategy, defining roadmaps, and managing execution across multiple product lines. You will collaborate closely with functional leaders across engineering, marketing, sales, operations, technical services, and supply chain teams to deliver innovative, market-relevant solutions to life.
As the head of the Product Management team for our fracturing systems, enhanced recovery, and well construction products across domestic, international and offshore markets, you will be accountable for defining product direction, championing investment in new product development initiatives, and ensuring that execution aligns with company goals. Your leadership will influence product adoption, performance, and profitability across the full product lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Equip the team with the tools, frameworks, and support needed to succeed in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
Strategic Product Roadmap
- Set clear expectations for the development and maintenance of compelling product roadmaps that reflect customer needs, company capabilities, market trends, and emerging technologies.
- Ensure alignment of roadmaps with overall company strategy and commercial priorities.
Business Case & Investment Justification
- Oversee the evaluation and vetting of new product opportunities.
- Guide the team in building robust business cases grounded in market intelligence, customer insights, and financial analysis.
- Partner with executive leadership to prioritize projects and secure investment.
Execution & Go-to-Market Oversight
- Provide oversight from concept to launch, ensuring projects meet scope, budget, and timeline requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive seamless product launches that meet business and customer expectations.
Process Development & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Establish and continuously improve systems and processes that support efficient product development and commercialization.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration, ensuring consistent communication and aligned execution with Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, Technical Services, and Supply Chain teams.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Define and manage KPIs that track performance across the entire product lifecycle—from ideation through development, launch, growth, and retirement.
- Deliver clear, actionable updates to senior leadership on roadmap progress, milestones, risks, and outcomes.
Market and Competitive Intelligence
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape.
- Engagement with partners, industry peers, and customers across product lines and geographies
- Champion continuous improvement by integrating best practices and new ideas into product strategy and execution frameworks.
Qualifications & preferred skills
- 10+ years of experience managing cross-functional product development or commercialization projects in a relevant market.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, Business or related field, or equivalent.
- Project Management Professional certification or equivalent.
- Experience with international and offshore technology development and execution.
- Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing teams.
- Ability to translate customer problems into technical requirements and business value.
- Proven ability to create and implement systems, processes, and KPIs to drive collaboration and accountability across diverse teams.
- Deep understanding of the product lifecycle and experience managing product performance across all phases.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities; able to engage and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of P&L impact and financial drivers of product profitability and cash flow.
- Experience scaling businesses or leading growth-focused product initiatives.
- Skilled in negotiating and managing relationships with external partners and vendors.
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%) to regional offices, field locations and customer sites.
Additional Information
- Status: Overtime Exempt
- Target Discretionary Bonus: Eligible
- Employment Classification: Full-time, Regular
- Work schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off; Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Travel: 15-20% North American travel required; some overseas travel may be required
- Special Equipment: Cellphone and Laptop
- Criminal background check required for all positions
