Calgary, Alberta, Canada Levy's Machine Works Ltd. Full time

One of Calgary's most established machine shops is looking for an experienced CNC lathe programmer/machinist, preferably with Mazak and Mazatrol experience, to join its highly skilled team. Qualifications and experience required:

  • 5 years minimum CNC machining experience – Mazak lathes and Mazatrol programming and controls as asset
  • Experience with live tooling, mill/turn machine and sub-spindle (preferably Mazak MY/MSY) as asset
  • Ability to set up, program and work from a drawing
  • Experienced CNC Machinist; Certified Journeyman or equivalent
  • Experience with G-Code programming an asset
  • Experience in the machining of complex 'one off' parts and prototypes an asset
  • Experience in machining exotic materials, including Nitrinic50 and Beryllium Copper an asset
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Good communication skills
  • A career-oriented team player who works well with other people
  • Experience with machinery maintenance an asset
  • Used to working with quality procedures and to ISO standards
  • Able to verify dimensions using measuring instruments
  • Experience in completing full part inspections and inspection records
  • Able to undertake job task planning and organizing
  • Manual machining experience is an asset
  • Strong in math, geometry
  • English fluency
  • Eligible to work in Canada
