CNC Lathe Machinist - Night shift
We are currently hiring for a full-time CNC Lathe Machinist for our manufacturing facility in Calgary, Alberta. A CNC Lathe Machinist produces machined parts by programming, setting up and operating a CNC machine, while maintaining quality and safety standards.As a CNC Lathe Machinist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Setup and operation of a variety of machines and tools required to complete jobs to specified toleranceReviewing and interpreting drawings to ensure all specifications are metModifying machine speeds and feeds, utilization of correct tooling, and cutting styles to ensure precision and accuracy of manufactured partsEnsuring quality on all parts and enforcing and complying to Fidelity quality standardsPreparing maintenance tasks and tool calibrationFull competency in the use and calibration of necessary measuring tools to complete in process checks as defined by Job Leaders and QualityTime management planning for current and future jobsGathering and confirming correct materials and tooling to complete given tasksEnsuring quality on all parts and enforcing the Fidelity quality standard ISO & AS9100Ensuring that work areas are kept clean and organized, and that all Health and Safety Policies are being followedQualifications:Minimum 3 years experience operating LathesJourneyman, machinist trade certificate or equivalent experience is considered an assetExperience in Mastercam, Solidworks or any other CAD/CAM software is considered an assetIt is mandatory that this role take part in a criminal record check and controlled goods screeningDuring the interview process, we will be looking for behaviours that demonstrate:Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesStrong time-management skills to successfully complete tasks on a tight timelineThe ability to stand for long periods of time, complete repetitive tasks/movements and potentially lifting heavy objects up to 50lbsPositive attitudeCompensationCompetitive wages based on experience and knowledge levelEmployee benefits with medical and dentalOpportunity for advancementSupport for training and educationA fun, friendly and casual work environment with company sponsored events2 Paid Flex days per yearFree Uniforms provided with weekly laundryAccess to onsite employee gymAbout Fidelity Machine & Mould Solutions: Fidelity Machine & Mould Solutions Inc. is a Canadian owned company offering superior machining, mould making and engineering solutions for many different industries such as oil & gas, medical, aerospace and injection moulding.
