Calgary, Canada Aaron Machine Shop Ltd. Full time

**(Location: Calgary, AB) Aaron Machine Shop is looking for a journeyman/woman CNC Machinist with specific experience with the MAZAK QTN450 Lathe with live tooling.**

**What type of work does Aaron Machine Shop do?** We do not focus on one industry or product. Our shop has a great variety of work from different industries, using different materials, for different components designs. We are a true **job shop** which provides diversity to the work you will be doing.

**What machines do you run?** We run Mazak and Haas lathes and mills-Mazak 450 350 and 250 machines, and Swiss style screw multi-spindle, multi-axis machines. We use CAD (Solidworks) and CAM (Mastercam) software to streamline the production process.

**Work Environment**:

- Friendly, independent machine shop with a family atmosphere
- Shop is centrally located in light industrial park
- Good variety of work due to diverse customer base
- Will operate Mazak and/or Haas CNC machines

**Qualifications**:

- Journeyman machinist ticket
- Experience on CNC machines, including mills and/or lathes specifically the Mazak QTN450 Lathe.
- Mazak Mill experience and swiss machines considered an asset.

**TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Receive jobs from foreman and manager and carry out what is needed to complete the job
- Assess the jobs received and decide the most efficient way of completing the job without sacrificing quality - with the assistance of the manager if needed
- Check in with supervisor in the morning for a job schedule and list of priorities
- Operate CNC lathe
- Operate CNC mill, Mazak QTN 450, 350 and 250
- Operate grinders & deburring equipment
- Operate automatic saw
- Operate a torch
- Heat treating over & quenching
- Operate overhead and jib cranes
- Operate forklift and pallet jack
- Operate all machines according to manufacturer specifications and formal hazard assessments
- Complete quality control inspection on finished parts
- Materials and equipment handling
- Small - medium hand tool usage
- Disposal of scrap metal materials
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- General housekeeping duties
- Follow all safety protocols/policies
