Corma Industries is a modern ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing facility in southeast Calgary, Alberta. We specialize in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) production runs and prototyping for a variety of industries including oil & gas, mining, heavy infrastructure, construction, food and beverage, and exploration.

We are recruiting for a Machine Operator to assist us with our busy work schedule.

Duties include:

- Following instructions to machine parts for customer orders
- Operating various CNC and manual machines, mills and lathes;
- Producing parts according to Corma’s quality standards;
- Reading and understanding blueprints and engineering drawings;
- Inspecting parts to ensure they are produced to specifications, and are within tolerance, accurate, consistent, and polished;
- Using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers and gauges;
- Able to adjust and replace machining tooling as necessary;
- Safely load and unload raw materials into machines;
- Isolate parts that are non-conforming to the drawing and work order, and notify Shop Management;
- Performing daily maintenance of machines as required;
- Read, understand and comply with Corma Industries’ company policies and procedures, including the Employee Handbook, ISO 9001:2015 Quality Manual, Procedures and Work Instructions; SECOR policies and procedures;
- Other activities as needed.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 1 year experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes;
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines;
- Ability to think on your feet to troubleshoot;
- Must be able to communicate at an advanced level in English, both written and verbal.

**Salary**: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
