About the opportunity:
The Ingredients Intern will play a key supporting role within the Business Development team, contributing to a range of cross-functional special projects. This position offers hands-on experience with the Business Development and FSI Marketing teams, assisting with updates to POS materials, website content, coordination of trade events, sales support, and innovation initiatives. The intern will also collaborate with the Culinary Team to explore new applications for dairy ingredients and conduct market research across various segments we serve. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain exposure to the ingredients industry and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.
The attributes we are looking for:
- Portfolio and Data Management:
Maintain the Ingredients product list, import portfolio, and opportunity file through comprehensive data collection and organization. This includes gathering and entering product specifications, supplier information, and customer opportunities to ensure accurate and up-to-date records. - Marketing Collaboration
: Work closely with the Business Development and Marketing teams to update POS materials, updating website content, and both internal and external communications. Ensure all information is accurate, visually aligned with brand standards, and effectively communicates key messages. - Support internal sharing of culinary trials and assist in creating application sheets or recipe cards. Work with the culinary team to develop and document new applications using key dairy ingredients across the market segments that we supply.
- Support the planning and execution of trade and sponsorship events in collaboration with the Business Development and Marketing teams.
- Administrative Support
: Perform essential administrative tasks such as managing translation projects and uploading documents to SharePoint. Maintain organized folder structures, including onboarding materials, to support efficient document access and team onboarding. - Special Projects
: Assist with special projects as needed, supporting the Business Development on innovation projects, Commercial Operations and Sales Ingredients team on strategic priorities.
What you will bring:
- Currently pursuing a post-secondary education preferably in Business, Marketing, Economics,
- Background or education in Food Science would be an asset
- Proficient with standard office computer technology such as Microsoft Outlook, Teams, including advanced proficiency MS Excel
- Experience with Power BI is highly valued
- Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail
- Strong team player with track record of collaboration and experience working as part of an agile team
- Growth-oriented mindset with a strong desire to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
