Your mornings start early — and so does the fun Vista Radio is looking for an organized, creative, and technically confident Morning Show Producer to support The Early Edition morning show on AM1150 in Kelowna.

This role is perfect for someone who loves radio, thrives in a live broadcast environment, and enjoys shaping engaging, locally relevant content. You'll work closely with the Morning Show Host, News Director, Program Director, and the broader team to help create a show that reflects the lifestyle, interests, and conversations of our listeners.

About the Job:

Vista Radio has an immediate opening for a full-time Morning Show Producer, based on-site in Kelowna, BC, supporting The Early Edition morning show on AM1150.

What you'll do

• Operate the broadcast board for the AM1150 morning show
• Assist in planning and producing daily show content, including researching, contacting, and scheduling guests
• Organize and develop show topics, features, and guest segments aligned with listener interests
• Work collaboratively with the Morning Show Host, News Director, Program Director, and other team members to create engaging content and grow listenership
• Provide regular on-air traffic and weather updates (twice per hour)
• Participate in on-air discussions as requested; regular on-air hosting is not a core requirement of this role
• Contribute content to the AM1150 X (Twitter) account
• Upload interview clips to The Early Edition audio section of the AM1150 website
• Compile and edit the "Encore Edition" of the show
• Ensure the daily technical operation of the show runs smoothly
• Keep the show's digital and social media content relevant, timely, and up to date
• Participate in team meetings as required
• Other duties as assigned

What you Bring

• Prior radio or broadcast experience (required)
• Strong working knowledge of PlayoutOne, VoxPro, and Adobe Audition
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to meet daily deadlines
• Solid understanding of social media platforms and digital content best practices
• Ability to collaborate effectively with on-air staff and internal departments
• Interest in news, sports, lifestyle, and pop culture, with the ability to pitch engaging show ideas
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, live broadcast environment
