Experienced Wedding DJ Wanted – Join Our Professional Team
Are you a seasoned wedding DJ with at least 5 years of experience performing at Weddings, Special Events and Nightclubs? Do you have exceptional mixing skills, a deep understanding of musicality, and the ability to read a crowd effortlessly? If so, we want you on our team
Who We Are Looking For:
We are NOT hiring new DJs. We seek highly skilled, professional DJs who excel in both technical ability and event performance. Our ideal DJ has:
- A minimum of 5 years of wedding DJ experience.
- Exceptional beat-matching skills and the ability to introduce new tracks seamlessly.
- A strong sense of musical timing, only transitioning every 2 or 4 bars of 8 for smooth flow.
- Creative and smooth mixing styles that enhance the musicality of both tracks.
- No fade-in / fade-out mixing—we expect professional, seamless transitions.
- A deep understanding of song length balance—knowing when to let a track breathe and when to transition.
- The ability to blend tracks that complement each other, ensuring no clashing vocals unless musically intentional.
- Crowd-reading expertise, adjusting song selection based on energy and engagement.
- Ability to play open format across multiple genres, including Wedding EDM, Hip Hop, Pop, RnB, Latin, Country, and Rock.
- A full library of high-quality, fresh tracks across various genres.
- A deep understanding of mixing software such as Serato or Traktor.
- High-end DJ gear (unless renting—note that we do not cover rental costs).
- A reliable vehicle with enough room for equipment.
- A wagon or cart for transporting gear at venues.
- A backup 4ft or 6ft table with backup white tablecloths.
- A professional, warm, and engaging stage presence.
- A sharp, professional appearance that matches high-end wedding expectations.
Why Work With Us?
Join a 5-star wedding DJ service where precision, excellence, and mutual respect are the foundation of everything we do.
Our relationship with you: We consider our DJs as partners and build our relationships based on a mutual understanding of communication, reliability, respect, and positivity, all while ensuring our clients' satisfaction is always the #1 priority.
Where we're going: We are continuously working to grow our brand and services to book high-end events and increase the earnings of our DJs. Partnering with DJ Tyco: Work under the DJ Tyco brand, led by an industry veteran with a distinguished career:
- DJed at top venues globally, including stints in Greece, Thailand, the Cayman Islands, and on multiple Cruise Ships.
- Played at major events such as EDC Las Vegas and Burning Man.
- Syndicated radio shows: Hollywood Hamilton (U.S. & Europe) and Hot Mix on Hot 107 in Edmonton, making him "Edmonton Famous" with his face on buses, trains, and billboards.
- Was the only Canadian DJ nominated for the Miami Music Awards for 4 years in a row.
- Produced for high-profile TV and movie projects, including Dragon Ball Z.
- Founder of Happy Life Entertainment, a premier wedding DJ company in Edmonton.
- Industry recognition through a degree in Audio Engineering, specializing in sound for film and TV.
The Takeaway: Collaborate on premium wedding events where quality music and DJ professionalism are paramount. Enjoy competitive pay, the opportunity to work alongside top-tier talent, and be part of a supportive, high-energy environment.
