THE OPPORTUNITY

Ram Iron & Metal is looking for a results-oriented and talented Business Development Representative, Account Management to join our Team. The Business Development Representative, Account Management, under the direction of the Director of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for executing sales strategies and structured sales processes. They will be responsible for planning and implementing all sales activities to achieve strategic objectives and sales metrics.

OVERVIEW

The successful candidate must have exceptional communication skills and progressive experience in business development, account management, and sales within the manufacturing or industrial industry. You will need to identify and establish strategic partnerships with key industry players and cultivate relationships with existing and potential clients, stakeholders, and industry influencers to drive development efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITES

  • Develop new business development efforts to expand our client base and nurture existing partnerships.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities via proactive outreach and relationship-building. This would include, but no limited to the following:
  • Make certain of continual customer visits.
  • Provide support to customers.
  • Ensure follow-up visits to customers as appropriate and as needed.
  • Solicit new customers by following up on cold calls, trade show lead, etc.
  • Generate new customer set-up package for approval by Senior Management.
  • Provide informative sessions for new customers.
  • Prepare and provide regular reports and presentations to Senior Management to communicate progress, achievements, and challenges. This may include special pricings requests, a summary of monthly calls from new and existing accounts, summaries of old business and expected new business and reports with respect to purchases, and potential prospects.
  • Manage purchases and marketing budget for territory, including expenses.
  • Ensure to meet purchase quotas and objectives as established by Senior Management.
  • Create and execute strategic plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies to acquire new customers and increase presence in market.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Operations, to align business development efforts with overall company objectives and priorities.
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities and industry changes to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Evaluate the activities of other businesses that develop and implement campaigns to promote the sales of products and services.
  • Other duties as required, not limited to responsibilities listing above.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing.
  • One (1) to (3) years of experience in Sales and/or Marketing
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver's license and active insurance vehicle policy.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, reading, verbal, written and comprehension.
  • Ability to problem solve, develop, and implement solutions.
  • Self-reliant and entrepreneurial, ability to complete assignments with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Comfort in delivering formal and informal presentations in front of small audiences.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within short timelines.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The working environment is busy and fast paced, with regular and ongoing interactions with colleagues, management, and the public at large. There may be frequent interruptions, and from time to time be noisy. The employee must have knowledge of how to manage their own personal safety under these conditions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to be able to lift up to and including 30lbs, sit and/or stand for extended periods of time and reach with arms/hands. Walking, walking up/down stairs, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items is occasionally required.
