The Dental Assistant will ensure that the office runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to a positive experience for both patients and staff.

Duties

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using dental software.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area according to infection control protocols.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out processes if required
  • Collaborate with team members to provide high-quality patient care in various specialties including pediatrics and orthodontics.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
  • Proficiency in using dental software
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment are required.
  • A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all safety protocols is essential.
