Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Academy & Event Coordinator to manage and execute a diverse range of programs and community activities. This role will begin at 20 hours per week with the strong possibility of increased hours based on performance and interest. The coordinator will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver memorable experiences that align with our organizational goals and standards. Key Responsibilities

The Events Planner will be responsible for the planning, organization, and execution of several core activities, including:

  • Academy Enrolment & Management: Overseeing the enrolment process and day-to-day administration of our Academy programs.
  • Direct contact for all academy questions and concerns.
  • Pickleball & Basketball Leagues: Organizing and managing all aspects of the community pickleball and basketball leagues (scheduling, registration, communication, etc.).
  • Ice Time Booking: Booking and managing schedules for organized hockey ice times within local arenas (Beban, NIC)

Events & Fundraising

  • Athletics4All Initiatives: Planning, coordinating, and executing all fundraising and logistical activities for the Athletics4All program.
  • Camps & Fundraising: Planning and managing various seasonal camps and related fundraising efforts.
  • Community Socials: Organizing and promoting engaging Cold Plunge and Sauna Socials for the community.
  • Coordinating logistics for events hosted in house.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in event planning, coordination, or project management (1-2 years preferred).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff, clients, and community members.
  • Proficiency in google suites or equivalent planning software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with sports leagues or athletic programming is a plus.
