Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving new business and managing key accounts across our pharmacy and clinic sectors. You will build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, pharmacies, and clinics, while promoting the benefits of our compounding services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Lead Generation:
Develop new business opportunities through cold calls, networking, and lead generation to expand our customer base. - Relationship Building:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, physicians, clinics, and pharmacies to promote our compounding services. - Market Research & Analysis:
Identify trends, potential clients, and competitors within the local healthcare market. Stay updated on industry developments and adjust strategies accordingly. - Sales Presentations & Product Demonstrations:
Conduct presentations to potential clients, showcasing the benefits of our customized medications and services. - Customer Support:
Assist with inquiries, resolve concerns, and ensure satisfaction with the compounding pharmacy services. - Sales Targets & Reporting:
Meet and exceed sales targets. Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and market feedback to management. - Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing, pharmacy, and operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery and execution of sales strategies. - Customer-Centric Mindset:
Proactively engage with healthcare providers by asking insightful questions, such as, "What challenges are you facing, and how can we better support your patients' needs?" to ensure continuous improvement in service delivery and patient outcomes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A degree or certification in pharmacy, business, or a related field is required. (Background in compounding is a plus.)
- Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of the compounding pharmacy industry and services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Compensation Structure:
- Base Pay:
$70,000 annually - Commission:
There is a commission component based on sales performance. - Travel and Cell Phone Allowance are also provided.
